1 - In the Beginning: This photo, dated September 1943, was originally thought to be the earliest known photo of the Inmates of Southfield House. However, it turns out that none of the boys shown had any connection with Southfield House as they were resident at South Walks House, which probably explains the presence of Mr Hill, who was Housemaster at South Walks at that time, and his wife. Consequently I have duplicated this photo in the South Walks House section.
